She has excelled in facilitating relationships to break barriers between employers, educators, human service organizations and state agencies.
Teury has been a leading advocate and champion for innovation, reform, and creating employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Teury brings a unique package of cross-cultural expertise, fluency in English and Spanish and an ability to foster meaningful conversations between grassroot movements within the community and city and state leaders representing them. Teury believes there is no substitute for open and ongoing communication between decision making and those impacted by her decisions and actions. She believes in accountability and delivering results.
Throughout her career, Teury has worked to strengthen communities through her leadership within a human service agency, and Serving People in Need.
Teury is committed to finding creative solutions to the challenges confronting our communities. She has a passion for facilitating the success of others, recognizing that we are stronger when we work together and uplift each other.
Teury was born in the Dominican Republic and has lived in the United States for nearly 30 years. She earned her Associates Degree in Human Services and Paralegal at North Shore Community College, Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice at Salem State, and Masters Degree of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling at University of Massachusetts Boston with an Advanced Degree in Forensics Services.
She is a mother, her youngest is in middle school and her two oldest graduated from college.
